This guided walk satifies your palate with the weekly Norwegian tradition of Raspeball, drinking in a local pub, and finishing with a seasonal regional dessert.
Every Thursday is Raspeball day in Norway, and we decided to celebrate by hosting this delicious food-walk through the heart of Norwegian tradional cuisine in the old downtown . The Raspeball is a potato dumpling, but is goes by many names (klubb, kumle, komle, kompe or potetball) in the different regions of Norway. This dish is served with farm fresh salted lamb, evanger pølser ( lamb sausage ) and a carrot and sweet potato mash.
After enjoying this traditional meal, the journey continues to an old workers pub, " the Mason bar", where you will sip on some of the some of the finest beer the local breweries have to offer. The tour finishes off with a unique dessert that originates in a town not too far south in the Oslo Fjord call 'Moss". Give yourself a chance an join locals on this Thursday and be ready to take home one of the most traditional tastes in Norwegian food.
