Bike Rental: 24 hours

A bike rental is the perfect way to discover Oslo like a local, at your own pace. With a quality bike, optional helmet, lock and customized mapping service, you are able to see all of the different sides of Oslo: trendy neighborhoods, historic castles and palaces, world-class parks, stunning coastline and endless forest. Pick the bike up anytime after 9:30 (10:00 in November) and return it the following day. Bikes need to be stored in a safe location overnight. Nearly all hotels in Oslo have secure storage for bikes. If staying in private accomodation, please make sure there is a secure back courtyard or bike room. Customers can choose from a variety of bikes: children's; comfortable city bikes with 5 gears; sporty hybrids with 27 gears and disk brakes; etc. The best choice of bikes is available in the morning, from when the shop opens at 9:30 (10:00 in November). PRICE Child seat: 125 kroner (ages 1-5, max 20kg) Tag-along, 20" child bike or 24" child bike: 125 kroner (approx. ages 5-11) Youth 12+ and Student (with valid ID): 175 kroner city bike / 240 kroner hybrid sport bike Adult: 200 kroner city bike / 275 kroner hybrid sport bike FITNESS LEVEL The city center is relatively flat with only a few small inclines and hills, making it accessible for nearly everyone. Further out along the Bygdøy peninsula's coastline or up in the Oslo forest (called the marka), there are more hills and much of the riding can be on dirt paths. There is basically something for everyone, ranging from easy to challenging. AVAILABILITY April-October: every day, seven days per week, from 9:30-18:00. Advanced booking recommended (but not required) on weekends and during the summer months. November-March: open based on weather and riding conditions. Please contact us in advance for availability. Bike Rental: Winter

For experienced cyclists, a winter bike rental is the perfect way to discover Oslo safely and securely on a bike specifically equipped for winter cycling. We provide a quality bike with spiked winter tires, helmet, lock and customized mapping service, so that you are able to see all of the different sides of Oslo: trendy neighborhoods, the historic downtown, castles and palaces, world-class parks, and stunning coastline.    Experience Oslo like a local and at your own pace. You can pick the bike up anytime after 10:00 and return it before the Viking Biking shop closes at 15:30. If you would like the bike for a longer period of time then consider our 24-hour or Multi-day rental options and you make keep the bike overnight or for multiple days as long as you have secure location to store the bikes at night. Oslo offers a variety of biking opportunities for the experiences rider in the winter along coastal paths and throughout the city centre. AVAILABILITY November-March: Monday - Saturday, 6 days per week, from 10:00-15:00. Advanced booking recommended (but not required). Open based on weather and riding conditions.
