Bike Tour: Oslo Highlights

Our most popular tour, departing daily at 14:00 (2pm). Discover all of the major sites in about 3 hours in a fun and relaxed manner as we bike car-free paths, parks, quiet back streets, and along the fjord. There is plenty of time for stops and pictures. The guides will not only reveal the history behind the monuments and buildings, but cover topics relating to Norwegian culture and politics as well as modern life in Oslo. The riding is mostly flat except for a couple of short inclines and a 2 minute hill leading up to the Royal Palace. Total distance covered is about 12km (7 miles). AVAILABILITY April-October: every day at 14:00 (2pm). Advanced booking recommended (but not required) for summer months and all weekends November-March: departs at 13:00 (1pm) based on weather and road conditions, so please contact us in advance if unsure. Please note that during this time of the off-season, we reserve the right to cancel the tour with full refund if there is only one participant. Bike Tour: Private Groups

Viking Biking can offer private bike tours or rentals for groups of any size. Whether you want to take one of our four standard tours, create a personalized bike tour for your group, or rent the bikes to discover the city on your own, we can create an experience you will never forget. Private bike tours and bike rentals are a great option for larger families, a couple looking for a more tailored ride, a company or organisation in need of an original team building activity, etc.   No matter the occassion, Viking Biking can make your day in Oslo truly unique. And if you want to include a meal or drink with the tour, we have lots of suggestions ranging from seaside restaurants, trendy cafés or traditional Norwegian food.   Most customers choose either a 3 hour tour (Oslo Highlights bike tour or Oslo off the beaten path) or a 4 hour tour (Vikings & Beaches or Forest to Fjord). Bike Tour: Oslo off the beaten path

Discover an alternative Oslo, full of street art, hip cafés, surprising waterfalls, great food and award winning coffee. During this approximately 3-hour bike tour, we will ride the path along the Akerselva River, with a stop at the heart of Oslo’s food scene, the indoor market “Mathallen” (closed on Mondays). Be amazed by rushing waterfalls in the middle of the city, just blocks from the trendy Grünerløkka neighborhood. And an absolute must is a stop at the modern Opera and the exciting urban development around it, including a stop at Oslo's newest urban beach. Bike Tour: Self Guided Tour (6 days) of the Oslo Fjord

During this self-guided bicycle tour with luggage transfer, discover the hidden charm of the harbour villages along the fjord, while bicycling on small, low traffic roads and bike paths. Itinerant circuit with overnight stays in centrally located hotels. And yes, you should bring your swimming gear.    The Self-Guided trip includes 6 nights with breakfast in centrally located hotels (3/4*), luggage transportation, bicycle (possibility for electric bikes), route descriptions and maps, GPX files, boat Sandefjord - Strömstad - Fredrikstad, bus or boat Drøbak - Oslo, and a hotline service.   ROUTE PROFILE Level of difficulty: 2 out of 3 Route profile: This tour has been rated category 2 because of some uphills and a relatively curvy landscape on some stretches. The daily legs are between 17 and 55 km. Bike Tour: Forest to Fjord

A unique experience in Europe! The four hour bike tour leads through an immense wilderness called the marka, full of wild berries, dozens of lakes, moose, and stunning views of Oslo and the fjord below. We even have time to stop at a traditional farm complex in the middle of the forest which now serves as a café and restaurant. After experiencing Oslo's wilderness, the ride returns to the city along a river path, passing numerous waterfalls. Nearly the entire bike tour is in car-free areas. PRICE This tour is run as a private tour only and participants must be at least 16 years old. Most of the riding is on dirt and gravel. Children must be 16 or older to participate. At the start of the tour, the group will take metro line 1 to the starting point of the forest at Frognerseteren.
