Private Nature Walks: Island Hopping

Discover the stunning Oslo fjord islands like a local: hopping on and off ferries to hike the coastal forests, sea cliffs, charming villages and historic sites of the inner Oslo fjord. With a Viking Hiking guide, explore the fascinating ruins of a nearly 1000 year old abbey, picnic on a hidden beach and walk the flower-covered paths of a summer village full of brightly painted, traditional wooden cabins. Don't forget a swim suit and towel as there is time for a swim in the surprisingly warm waters of the Oslo fjord! We also stop for a picnic lunch, which you can bring with you or purchase on the way.

PRICE

• 3000 kroner per group of 1-10 participants. For groups over 10, please contact us for more information.
• Important! This tour uses ferries which are part of the public transport system. If you have the Oslo Pass or a valid transport card, you do not need to purchase a transport pass. Otherwise, please purchase the transport pass during the check-out of the booking process. Prices range from 70 to 135 kroner per person and the pass is valid for 24 hours on ferries, metros, trams, buses and trains in Oslo.

FITNESS LEVEL

Average fitness level is required. The walking is mostly flat, but on a mix of stones, gravel paths and dirt roads. Participants should be able to walk for 30 minutes at a moderate pace and wear good walking shoes for the trails.

STARTING POINT & DURATION
The tour starts near the departure point for the public boats to the islands, at Rådhusbrygge 4, 0160 Oslo. Meet next to the restaurant "Pipervika på Fisketorget". Duration is 4 hours

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Please arrive at the tour starting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This tour uses the public transport system and tickets are not included in the price of the tour unless you choose that ticket option. Some guests come already with public transport cards or the Oslo Pass. Public transportation cards can purchased during the on-line booking process at the check out, at local outlets in the city or at the ticket machines near the tour starting point.
