For groups of up to 4 people, a winter bike rental is a unique winter experience. Our winter bikes have studded tires, with more than 400 small spikes per bike keeping you safe even in the most icy conditions. You will feel like a real local, joining the thousands of Oslo citizens who bike year round. As we say here in Norway, "det finnes ingen dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær" (there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing).
Included in the rental is a mandatory helmet, strong lock and customized mapping service. On a winter bike, you are able to see all of the different sides of Oslo: trendy neighborhoods, historic castles and palaces, world-class parks, stunning coastline and endless forest.
Please note that we do not have winter bikes for children under 12.
PRICE
There is a flat fee for winter bike rentals. Groups of 1-4 people pay NOK 1400 per day. Due to a limited number of winter bikes in stock, we cannot accomodate groups of more than 4 people.FITNESS LEVEL
The city center is relatively flat with only a few small inclines and hills, making it accessible for nearly everyone. Further out along the Bygdøy peninsula's coastline, there are more hills and some of the riding can be on well-maintained dirt or gravel paths. These bikes are not suitable for the challenging terrain of the Oslo Forest and we recommend you look at our partner pages for mountain bikes.
AVAILABILITY
01 November 2021 - 19 March 2021 : Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. Bikes should be picked up at 10:00 and returned either before sunset (around 15:30 / 3:30pm) or by 10:00 the following day. Advanced booking is required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Winter biking does not require special biking skills and is very safe, but it is recommended that guests be confident cyclists.
